Is your websites Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Cookies Policy and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) READY? Did you know that you must have a point of contact in Europe for your customers/clients in the European market? Did you also know that if you have customers or clients in California that there is a separate Privacy Policy for them, that must be noted in your General Privacy policy? Do you have Data Protection/Cyber Attack Insurance for your Website?
There is so much to be aware of when you run a website these days and not only do you want to protect the public, you have to protect your business as well and having these policies in place will do just that.
Here is another thing you may not be aware of. For those of you that use splash pages, landing pages or lead capture pages on your website, you also need to be aware that you must make it very clear what people are signing up for and have a clear and easy way for them to opt-in and op-out of your mailings. A double opt-in is one of the best ways to ensure that they know what they are signing up for. Did you also know that you need to keep on file a list of your email contacts? and not just in your CRM.
