According to some marketing agencies and gurus, it's been stated that it's a bad idea to post the same content on different platforms. The claims being made is that it's boring and nobody once to see the same message all over the internet. I completely disagree with those claims 100% and below, I'm going to share with you why.
I don't know about you but my 1000's of audience members are spread widely over all different media outlets across the internet and not all of them are on all the same platforms. I have some on Facebook but not Twitter. I have some on Twitter but not LinkedIn and again some on Instagram but not G+.
The point I'm trying to make is that I need to share my content across all platforms and you should want to as well to ensure that your entire audience base is seeing and engaging with the messages that you share and to be sure that no one is getting left out. It would totally suck if I shared a great piece of info to my followers on Twitter and not to my Fans on Facebook.
It's no different than someone sharing the same content on the same platform but at different times. People do that because not all their audience members are on a platform at the same time, that makes sense to me as well. Here is another example. I used to really hate radio, and sometimes, I kind of still do mainly because of all the commercials but what really got me was all the same songs that were played over and over and over in a short amount of time, but I get it now that people may listen to the same radio stations but do so at different times. It makes sense.
And here is my answer to those that say posting the same content on multiple platforms is boring, I just say, #JustKeepScrolling. Nobody is forcing you to stay and look at the content repeatedly on the different platforms, move on to the next. Pretty easy to do in my opinion. So, with that said, I'm going to continue to do what I do and share my content whether it's the same or different on all platforms across the internet. It's working for my business and I'm sure it will work for your business too.
Take Care All.
