I hear it all the time, business owners telling me that they got this social media marketing thing under control but still, every day, I see so many that are getting it so wrong. 1. Social Media should never be used to sell your product or service. 2. Once you start social media, it becomes a commitment. 3. If you are not using your analytics, why even be on social media. 4. Not every social media platform is the same. 5. Keep It Real, Be Human. I know in today’s economy, money is tight, it’s that way for a lot of us but I also know, at least for me, I will pay to have it done right, have it done professionally or have it explained to me in a way that I will understand and can proceed on my own successfully. That’s where I come in and that’s what I will do for you and your business. You may not need me to manage your social media monthly and that’s cool but you might need help understanding it all and what it is you should be doing to properly, legally and successfully market your business on social media. I can honestly bet that most of you are missing some key points and some critical steps when marketing your business on social media. I’m here to save you time, save you money, save your sanity and possibly save you from legal trouble. My prices are reasonable and I promise to do my absolute very best for you. Hello friends. If you have a Facebook Business page, you are going to want to pay attention to this. Facebook has what is called BRANDED CONTENT, please click on the link above in red to be sent directily to the Facebook Business Page that explains everything. The simple definition of this is, if you share articles, links, images, video or a blog story from a celebrity, influencer or a public figure and you'll know because they usually all have the blue verification symbol on their page, you must properly tag them in your post, using the new Branded Content tag icon below your post creation box. it will look like the image below. This is actually a pretty cool feature because now when you share a verified pages content, you both collectively will get insights on the post and it may bring more exposure to you because your name will be attached to the post whereever it goes. Check out this informative article from SOCIAL MEDIA EXAMINER with great details about this new feature.
More exposure for you and the brand you tag, sounds like a WIN WIN for everyone to me. Thanks for reading. Valarie Harris Founder/President VARRIS MARKETING "Connecting Your Business To The World"

Valarie Harris Founder/President VARRIS MARKETING "Connecting Your Business To The World" Social Media Marketing Coaching. When I hear, see or use the words Engagement Marketing, I'm not talking about selling or even curating content for that matter. What I'm talking about is Building that Customer/Client Relationship. Really getting to know who your audience is and what they are all about. Getting your audience to trust and believe in your Brand and finally, getting your audience to really know who you are.
Most of us as business owners can come up with some good post and tweets and some of us even take it a step further by trying to really engage with the audience member but did you know you can go a step further? Let me explain. If you really want to engage in your marketing, you need to engage in building that relationship and gaining trust first and to do that you need to reach out to your audience and get to know them. I mean for real, seriously. I know for a lot of you that seems like an impossible task because you have so many fans, follows and connection but you can still do it by what you say or do in your post. Are you asking questions? are you getting their opinions on certain subjects and topics? Are you listening to what they want to see, watch and read? Are you communicating with them, using their name? Are you sharing possible similar experiences whether it be professional or personal and talking to them like they've been your neighbor for years? Are you being honest with them when mistakes happen or about the things going on in your personal or professional like that you chose to share? This is Engagement to me. Connecting, Building Relationships and Gaining Trust. If you are struggling to reach out and connect with your audience, try some of the things that I mentioned in the post and see if you don't get a better response. Keep in mind that you must be transparent and NOT come off as faking it, Get Real with yourself, Get Real with your audience and then Keep It Real forever. It's not that hard to do.
