Valarie Harris Founder/President VARRIS MARKETING As a business owner, you wear more than one kind of hat. Not only are you the Creator, CEO and Manager of your business, you are also the bookkeeper, the maintenance person, the merchandiser, the janitor and if your business is on social media, you are also the marketer. WOW!! That's a lot of hats and that's a lot of time being taken away from what it is you truly do well and that's running your business, doing what it is you created your business for.
I know for me, personally and professionally, when I want something done right and when I want to free up more of my time to do the things that I truly want to do in life, I hire a professional. I could never get my hair in those cute fancy styles that are so trendy today so I go to a hairstylist. I hate yardwork so I have lawn care service and I will never do my taxes again, that's why I have a tax guy to do it for me. The people in the services I just mention get paid to do what they do. They are the expert in their field. I know it's getting done and it's getting done right, when I hire a professional so why wouldn't you treat your Social Media Marketing the same way. Valarie Harris Founder/President VARRIS MARKETING You have your Facebook Business Page but you don't seem to be getting the results that you are looking for. Your post seems to lack engagement and reach, well, could it possibly be that you have a boring page and/or post? It could very well be. I'm here to help you out with that. I've going to give you 4 tips to help you NOT!! Be Boring on Facebook. Let's get started. 1. Be On Facebook ~ If you are going to go through all the trouble to create a Facebook Business Page, then you better be prepared to be on the page, that means regularly posting at times and on days your audience is active on Facebook. I can't tell you how many times I see a business create a page and the business owner is all excited because it's fresh and new and they start off with a bang with posting and having fun but because the ROI is not happening as quickly as they would like it too, I slowly start to see a decline in activity until finally they completely stop all together and that's the wrong way to go about it. Be consistent, stay focused and on track and you will slowly see a difference in your engagement, reach and ultimately your ROI, for the better. 2. Know Your Audience ~ Randomly posting, will get you nowhere fast. What you need to do is to spend a little time getting to know your Facebook Analytics. Facebook has created a phenomenal tool to help you determine; who your target audience is, where they are, what days and times they are on and what they want to see in a post and it's called "Facebook Insights” With this tool, you will have everything you need, to create the perfect post for your page because you will have all the information, that you ever wanted to know about your audience, right at your fingertips. If you have a Facebook Business Page, you need to get my copy of Facebook Insights 2016 Right Now!! The guide will walk you step-by-step on how to better understand your Facebook Analytics. All I can say is, if you are randomly posting, good luck with that. 3. Audience Involvement ~ Don't sit around and wait for your audience to start engaging with you, make them engage. Your post should make them say Wow, Hmmm, What? Cool. While visiting your page, you want them to leave with something they didn't have before they visited and that's called "VALUE" You want your audience so intrigued by what they saw, that they feel compelled to share it on their personal page or tag a friend on your post or save it for later and pages that get this kind of engagement, on their post do so by getting the audience involved. They ask questions, create polls, ask for their opinions and feedback on something, they also let their audience get to know them better by sharing their personal story. You must get creative and think outside of the box, put yourself in their shoes and see where that leads you. 4. Visually Appealing ~ For 2017 and Beyond, it's going to be all about being visuals. That means, using images, video and live streaming to get your point across, to showcase your product or service and to talk about your business and personal story. People just don't want to read about it anymore, they want to see about as well.
My final words to you are this. If you don't want to be boring on Facebook, take these tips and start applying them to your Facebook Marketing today. It's never to late to start your journey to Facebook Marketing Success. Thank You for reading, please feel free to comment and share and let me know if you ever need any help with your Facebook Marketing, it's what I do. Valarie Harris Founder / President VARRIS MARKETING Hey everyone. I want you all to know that, It’s not OK, to leave your audience hanging, when a question is asked on your social media platforms. This just happened to me a couple of days ago on a Facebook Business Page, that shall remain nameless. The business I went to, does not have a website or blog and there was no contact information listed in the about section of their page, but they showcased a product that I was interested in learning more about so I sent a message asking about their product well, a few hours went by, then a day and then another day and still no reply. Now it has been about 4-days so I just gave up and moved on.
The deal is, if someone makes a comment, ask a question or inquiry, we are obligated as page and business owners to respond in a timely manner. I know things come up and sometimes life gets in the way, so that's why you have a back-up, a stand-by, someone to be there checking in on your social media platforms. It would also be a good idea to ensure your mobile device alerts are tuned on or better yet, at least for Facebook, they have this great messaging service that will respond for you, when you aren't able to. My main point being is ‘RESPOND’ and try to do so within a 24hr period, it’s that simple. Thanks for reading Valarie Harris Founder/President VARRIS MARKETING |
